This article discusses the given site, St. Cloud State University, for Apps and Mobile Connections used in academic research. The apps and connections are downloaded and installed on mobile devices like phones, tablets, among others. The apps give access to research materials and aims in other research activities like writing, computing and citing of references. The apps are subscribed to, downloaded free, and are accessible through fee-based program. Once downloaded and installed they use the browser of the device. Apps can also be accessed from iTune store and Google play.

            The apps given and recommended by the website offers help across research and study activities like source materials, referencing, writing and reading, and computation of mathematical problems. The apps that offers the reference resources include AccessMyLibraryCollege (AML) App for references resources and background information, offering tools including encyclopedias, dictionaries, and specialized reference resources. Other mobile apps and links for research materials and resources are given like Safari Books –Safari To Go, ACS Mobile, ArticleSearch App PubMed Apps and Mobile Links among others.

            In the site, there are apps for research computing and calculators for solving mathematical problems. These apps include Calculator Pro used by iPad, RealCalc, wolframAlpha offering variety of fee based apps for math, personal planning, and reference. The calculators vary due to the need for each problem. There are Apps that gives basics  services and help in reading books and documents and writing of notes and calculation of mathematical /scientific problems like Adope Reader, Catch Notes, Evernote App among others. Other apps are used for citing resources and building bibliographies.
